What does East and Southeast Symbolize?

Both directions embrace the Wood Element which is the energy of an uprising tree. It is rooted in the ground and reaches for the stars. Wood represents the chi of springtime, where all life is rebirthed and renewed.

The east has associations with happy new beginnings and family. Perhaps it will mean the start of a new family or a new focus in your life. It is symbolized by extended family as well as health.  It is a very positive direction for a young couple or family.

The southeast is associated with prosperity and abundance; not just in finances, but in all life has to offer.  It is a very good for people looking to enhance their wealth.

How to Activate Wood

To get the full blessings of these directions be sure that your front entry area has lots of healthy plants and trees. Incorporate the colors of green (Wood) and tall columns (the shape of Wood). You can also support this area with a moving water feature, as the Water Element feeds Wood.
