Most people know what general direction their front door faces. But did you know that there is inherent energy, or chi, associated with that direction? The chi for each compass direction is created by the sun's path through the sky.
Months ago, I wrote a series of blogs on the front door direction for businesses. It provided in-depth information on the chi of each direction and how that would affect your business. In this blog, I will provide very top-line information and will give in-depth information in future blogs.
East - Since the sun rises in this direction during the fall and spring equinox and it heralds birth and new projects. It's yang energy and about creativity.
Southeast - Also, strong rising energy, this direction is associated with abundance.
South - As the sun is at its peak in the south, this direction is about peak times in our lives, including fame and recognition.
Southwest - Strong setting energy, the southwest is about cultivating relationships and more yin, nurturing energy.
West - The sun usually sets west, therefore this direction is about completion of projects and settling down.
Northwest - The northwest door rarely sees the sun. This direction is about male authority, rules and can be rigid.
North - The sun never reaches a north-facing door. This house will tend to have very yin and quiet energy.
Northeast - Very little sun reaches a northeast-facing door, therefore, the emphasis is on self-knowledge and cultivation.

My Bagua is also strong on the West so having a front door on the West would that be good?
